International one-make cup drivers meet in Barcelona<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The traditional Porsche Carrera World Cup<\/strong> returns to the international motorsport stage in 2026. From March 5 to 8, 2026<\/strong>, drivers from all over the world will meet at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya<\/strong> to compete against each other in one of the biggest Porsche one-make cup events. <\/p>\n\n

After its premiere in 2011 on the N\u00fcrburgring-Nordschleife, the event is now taking place for the second time. Up to 100 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars<\/strong> from the 992.1<\/strong> model generation, which are entered in various Porsche Carrera Cups and the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, can take part. <\/p>\n\n

Diverse field of participants from all over the world<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

The competition offers drivers from around 40 national and regional Porsche Cups the opportunity to compete on a shared stage. Teams and drivers from all five continents are expected to take part. The current 911 GT3 Cup has an output of 375 kW (510 hp)<\/strong> and is equipped with modern driver assistance systems such as racing ABS and traction control. <\/p>\n\n

New race format with an innovative concept<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

As the race track in Barcelona does not offer enough space for all vehicles at the same time, the starting field is divided into four groups. Each group completes several qualifying sessions and sprint races lasting 30 minutes plus one lap. The best drivers qualify for the semi-final and final via a points system. <\/p>\n\n

The concept is partly based on modern sim racing competitions<\/strong>, in which Porsche is also active. This creates a varied format with exciting elimination races, which is open to both professionals and ambitious amateurs. <\/p>\n\n
