Geely in the FIA TCR World Tour from 2026
Cyan Racing announces the start of a multi-year collaboration with Geely. Together, the team will develop and build the new Geely Preface TCR race car to compete in the FIA TCR World Tour.
“This milestone is a particularly significant moment for Cyan Racing. We are delighted to further expand our successful cooperation with Geely,” explains Christian Dahl, founder and owner of Cyan Racing. “Celebrating our 30th year of uninterrupted collaboration with car manufacturers is a huge motivation for the entire team to be at the forefront of international touring car racing once again.”
The collaboration with Geely continues Cyan Racing’s 30-year partnership history, which began in 1996 with Volvo Cars, continued in 2015 with Polestar and continued successfully from 2018 with Lynk & Co.
Success and experience
Cyan Racing is one of the most successful touring car teams in the world. Since 1996, the team has won 19 Scandinavian titles and 12 world championship titles, most recently both FIA TCR World Tour 2025 titles with Lynk & Co.
“The development of the Geely Preface TCR is an exciting and challenging project that continues our long tradition of successful, self-developed race cars,” says Fredrik Wahlén, CEO and Team Principal of Cyan Racing. “Construction of the new race car is already on track at our headquarters in Sweden and we are aiming for the first Geely Preface TCR to debut on the track in early 2026.”
The public presentation and first test drives of the new race car are scheduled for early 2026, before the official start of racing in the 2026 season of the FIA TCR World Tour. Details of the drivers and team line-up will be announced at a later date. The final race calendar will be published in December.
