Just over a week before the start of the new season, the DTM completes its official pre-season test at the Red Bull Ring. Spectators can follow the sessions on the Styrian Grand Prix circuit free of charge.
The opening round of the 2026 DTM season is scheduled for the last weekend in April and will take place for the first time at the traditional circuit in Spielberg. This means that Germany’s best-known touring car series will begin its new season in the heart of Styria.
The official test day is already scheduled for April 14. Fans will have the opportunity to see the cars and drivers in action for the first time – and admission is free. The test drives can be followed from the Styrian grandstand, which provides a good overview of the action on the track.
The test day is divided into two sections: In the morning, the cars will be out on the track from 9:00 to 11:45, before another session follows in the afternoon from 13:00 to 17:55.
In addition to the DTM, other series will also use the opportunity to prepare: teams from the ADAC GT Masters and the ADAC GT4 Germany will also be on site. While the GT3 cars of the ADAC GT Masters will be testing on April 15th, the track will belong to the GT4 racing cars on April 16th.
