Dörr Motorsport is focusing on continuity in the 2026 DTM season and is once again sending Ben Dörr and former Formula 1 driver Timo Glock into the race. Both will each drive a McLaren 720S GT3 Evo.
This is the Frankfurt-based team’s third season in the tradition-steeped racing series. With Timo Glock, an experienced driver remains on board: the 91-time Grand Prix participant will compete together with Ben Dörr in the proven driver duo. Last season, the team already achieved some respectable successes, including podium finishes and the first pole position for McLaren in the DTM. The team would now like to build on these achievements.
Glock is optimistic about the new season. He expects the progress made during the winter break to be reflected in consistently strong race weekends. He is particularly looking forward to the events in Hockenheim and Spielberg, which are among his favorite tracks. After his comeback last year, the former Formula 1 driver is now entering his second season for Dörr Motorsport and his twelfth year in the DTM. His statistics so far include five race wins.
Team-mate Ben Dörr was also able to set an exclamation mark in 2025: At the Nürburgring, he secured the first pole position in DTM history for McLaren. The 21-year-old has his sights set on more top results in the coming season. The aim is to be a regular front-runner and to set special highlights during the season. The Nürburgring is once again one of his favorites after last year’s success there.
Team Principal Rainer Dörr formulates clear goals for 2026: The team wants to establish itself permanently in the top five and, ideally, achieve podium finishes together with McLaren. To achieve this, the experience gained in the first two DTM years has been comprehensively evaluated. In addition to personnel reinforcements, the vehicles were also further developed and intensive test programs were carried out. The data obtained in the process makes the team confident that it has taken a significant step forward.
